Awana

Awana is a ministry that has impacted children’s lives for years across America and the world.  Awana stands for "Approved Worman Are Not Ashamed" from II Timothy 2:15.  At Parkview our Awana clubs meet on Wednesday night from 6:00 to 7:30pm. This is a unique ministry that includes equal portions of Scripture memorization, high energy games in our gym and a time of music and teaching. Kid’s come away from Awana both excited to come back the next week, but, also ready to learn their verses and share them with their leaders. There is a small registration and uniform/book fee that is optional for those that can afford it. There is ample opportunity for our church to bless a family with this ministry at no cost to the family if that is necessary. Join us any Wednesday during the school year for a great mid-week focus on Scripture, fun and friends.

Puggles

Puggles: Awana for children 2-3 years old.  In Puggles, children are welcomed each week with play time, songs and simple crafts and activities.  Leaders presetn age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more.  Lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:

  • God Made Everything
  • God Saw that It Was Good
  • God Is Love
  • Give Thanks

Special take-home cards that correspond to each week's lesson help parents nurture their child's faith at home.  Participating in Puggles will give your child a head start on the path to loving and following God for life.

Cubbies

Cubbies: Awana for Pre-Schoolers focuses on 2 premises:

(1) Young children can and should receive spiritual training;
(2) Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
Awana is fun with a purpose - to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Sparks

Sparks: Awana for children in Kindergarten - 2nd Grade builds on the material taught in the preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved children regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for churched and unchurched kids alike.

TNT Truth & Training (T&T): Awana for children in 3rd - 5th Grade teaches boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and trains them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow - today. Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand in this program.
