Local Missions (Jerusalem)
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
Parkview Baptist Church is a congregation of people who are committed to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are actively involved in Christ’s instruction as found in Matthew 28 which says;
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matt. 28:19-20)
Our calling is to take the Good News to the whole world (local, state, regionally and internationally) seriously and literally. Our primary goal as a church is to see people come into a relationship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ. Therefore, because of our personal belief our financial commitment is strong and with focused on obeying whenever and wherever the Holy Spirit directs.
In this section you will see our local missions involvement as defined by financially giving and actual hands on involvement.
In obedience to the Word of God as defined by Acts 1:8, we seek to be His witnesses in our region of the world. Our purpose, through His power, is to coordinate our resources and ministries to intentionally impact our metropolitan area by creating ministry zones (defined as Elementary School boundaries) whenever and wherever God opens the doors of opportunity.
Our Strategic Method is to adopt an elementary school within a pre-defined elementary school boundary, become a Partner in Education (PIE) and actively begin to minister to four defined groups:
- The teachers & school administration,
- The elementary school students,
- The parents of the elementary school students,
- The neighbors that live in that school boundary.
