The Parkview Heritage Ministry is a "Planned Giving" Ministry of Parkview Baptist Church, in partnership with the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma.
What is a Heritage? It can be defined as a "a legacy", "a tradition", "something received from an ancestor or predecessor." Through the Parkview Heritage Ministry, you can leave a legacy of your life or that of a parent, child, or other loved one while at the same time helping to endow a lasting ministry.
What can be accomplished through the Parkview Heritage Ministry?
We can work towards endowing the ministry of our church. In this fashion, the principle, once received, will be a permanent resource for Missions, Ministry, Scholarships, & Capital Needs of Parkview which are not part of the operating budget process.
How will the Parkview Heritage Ministry work?
Gifts are made directly to the fund, and will be invested. Only the income from the fund will be distributed to the church.
Who decides how to invest the money?
The fund will be managed and administered by the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma. They have a strict Christian investment policy as well as expertise to properly manage the fund.
What types of gifts can be made?
Gifts can take many different forms. In consultation with your attorney, financial advisor, or tax accountant, a representative from the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma can assist you in determining the form of gift which best suits your needs. This can take the form of a bequest of a specific amount or a percentage of your estate in a Will or Trust. It is also possible to set up a charitable trust or gift annuity, which provides you tax benefits and income now, and benefits this ministry in the future.
