Parkview Pillars - Ministry

The priority of ministry…where every member is a minister!

New ministries:
• P.L.A.C.E. - through this study, members will truly discover their Personality; Learn their spiritual gifts; become aware of their Abilities; Connect their passion with ministry; and use their life Experiences to help them identify the ministry God has for them.
• Evaluation process of ministries and missions (existing and future) - a new process has been developed that will help Parkview be able to support the ministries and missions that are consistent with the direction the church is going. If you have an exisiting or propsed new ministry at Parkview, you will be asked to go through the official evaluation process, which will help continue to build our unity as a fellowship at Parkview.
• Greeting Ministry - aimed at helping guests feel personally welcomed
and informed when they visit Parkview.
• Parking Ministry – geared toward helping people their way around Parkview and park in the place that is more appropriate for them.
• Creating standards and optimizing use of Parkview’s facilities – the Buildings and Grounds Committee is “re-vamping” their strategy to provide new standards and more efficient use of the facilities God has provided Parkview, in a cohesive and consistent fashion.
• Teacher training/equipping – this year, more emphasis on and opportunity for training will be given to teachers (in all areas), helping them to have the tools they need to be the most effective teachers they can be.
• Children with special needs – with a growing interest to have more opportunities for children with special needs, an opportunity has arisen that will hopefully provide our fellowship with the privilege of such a ministry. More information will be coming soon on this new ministry possibility.

Specific age related ministries:
• Pre-School/Children’s Ministry - while we are eager to see who God has for Parkview to lead out ministerially in these areas and to see what vision they will bring, the goals of these ministries is to (1) Ensure that every child knows who Jesus is and how he/she can have a personal relationship with Him; and (2) to provide avenues of presenting God’s Word that are creative, easily

• Parkview Pre-School (weekday program) – in the Fall and Spring, Parkview offers one of Tulsa’s best early learning programs for pre-schoolers. Children from 19 months to 4 years have the opportunity to be surrounded by experienced and gifted teachers who love children and provide them with the necessary tools they need to prepare them for the next stage of life (for more information, view the official link under ministries on the home page).

• Student ministry - exists to lead middle and high school students to glorify God by helping them get a grasp on authentic faith; spiritual disciplines; moral boundaries; healthy friendships; wise choices; ultimate authority; and others first (for a more detalied list of what happens in the student ministry at Parkview, go to the official student ministry link under ministries on the home page)

• College/Young Singles – this is a newly “re-vamped” area of ministry that is a big priority at Parkview. • Singles – the older or “mature” group of singles is a truly exciting and growing area of ministry at Parkview. • Adult Ministry - exists to help adults grow in Christ and build meaningful relationships through Bible study; fellowship and other age specific and

• Senior Adult Ministry - the goals are to reach more seniors; keep seniors involved in the life of the church; and promote fellowship through new and

Other Ministries
• Adult Choir - the goals are to create a worship environment; praise the Lord; encourage involvement; and learn and teach (for a more detalied list of what happens in the music ministry at Parkview, go to the official music ministry link under ministries on the home page)

• Deacon Ministry - The Deacon Body of Parkview Baptist Church has as its primary purpose to fulfill its responsibilities as a Servant Leader Group as set forth in the New Testament. This New Testament Deacon Body seeks to serve the Church in its duties of administering the Lord’s Supper, prayer support and ministerial support for the Church. Our mission is to provide servant leadership support to the multifaceted ministries of Parkview Baptist Church and to be a responsive support team for the Church’s ministerial staff (for a more detalied list of what happens in the deacon ministry at Parkview, go to the official deacon ministry link under ministries on the home page)

• Heritage Ministry – the primary purpose for this ministry is to enhance the ministries of Parkview by providing an easy way for members to make lifetime gifts. • Prayer Ministry – Parkview has always been and always will be a church that believes in the power of prayer.
