Prayer Ministry at Parkview

The Prayer Ministry of Parkview is a group of people committed to praying for God's perfect will in every situation. If you have a prayer request please send it to office@parkviewbaptist.org or call our church office.

Jesus said that His House was to be called "A house of prayer." At Parkview, we believe that everything should be bathed in prayer. Below is a short list of just some of the ways we emphasize prayer:

Sunday Morning: In all 3 worship services every Sunday, our Pastor always has a special time of prayer. People are invited to lay their burdens down before the Lord and cast all their cares upon Him. Sometimes we use this time to pray for very specific things, such as our country/troops; missionaries; ministry organizations; etc., but no matter what is going on, we always take time to "really" pray. Our deacons also spend time each Sunday morning in the prayer room, praying for the worship services, weekly activities and any special requests that have been brought to their attention.

Wednesday Nights: During our regular 6:30pm mid-week Bible Study, our Pastor always allows time for prayer. We spend time praying for many different things. We pray for our country, those who are ill, special events going on at the church, school systems, and much much more. We would love to have you come and be a part of our Bible study and prayer time every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

Prayer Newsletter: Parkview also has a special prayer newsletter that is consistently sent out discussing and listing specific things we should be praying for. This is a wonderful publication put together by one of the members of our church who has a real heart for prayer.

Ministry of Encouragement: One of the most servant-hearted groups at Parkview is a group known as the Ministry of Encouragement. This group meets to simply write notes of encouragement in an effort to truly minister to people. Thousands of cards are written every year to people going through tough times; or to people going on mission trips; or to school teachers; or to ministry leaders; and so many more. This is a wonderful area of ministry and prayer in our church.

Other Opportunities: There are numerous other men's, women's, and mixed groups that consistently meet for prayer. Some groups meet at the church, others meet in homes, etc...but without question, prayer is something we firmly believe in and practice at Parkview.

As you can see, prayer is an intrigal part of all we do at Parkview. If you would like more information on specific prayer ministries at Parkview, please contact Jeremy Freeman at jfreeman@parkviewbaptist.org, or call the church office at 494-3755.
