WMU and WOMEN ON MISSION
These are two titles for the same organization! WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) was founded in 1888 and has been a vital key to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with missions education and become radically involved in the mission of God.
Women on Mission is the newer term that is being used today, but with the very same vision and purpose. This is an organization for women ages 18 and over through which women pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle and participate in the work of the church and the denomination. The purpose of all WMU/Women on Mission activities is that every person would have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
