Prayer Walking at Lynn WoodOkay Church, it is time to change the way you think about prayer! Think EXCITING! When we hear the word ‘exciting’ many of us do not think of prayer much less prayer walking. This is the summer to change the way we think about prayer. We start this journey of enlightenment by learning a new (to most of us) spiritual weapon to be used against those fiery darts of the Enemy, Satan and his army of demons. WE will call this weapon, Prayer Walking. Prayer Walking is simply being at a specific and physical location where you expect God to move in a mighty way through the prayers of His people. We may not see a burning bush but we will look behind those bushes for clues on how to pray for the neighborhood of Lynn Wood Elementary. Each participant will become a secret agent of prayer as we walk the neighborhood streets with the Holy Spirit as our guide. Trust me, He will be there! Everyone will check in at the school and receive their official G.A.P. (God’s Agent of Prayer) badge, booklet, and final explanations. Then we will team up in small groups and just as Jesus commanded, we will GO! As you read to this point, you may have questions about how to prayer walk. Great news, each participant will receive a booklet that will explain; what Prayer Walking is and is not, how to prepare for Prayer Walking, what to wear, how to Prayer Walk, what to do if…, and scriptures and prompts to help you along the way. Oh yes, you will also have a map of your route. Refreshments will be available when you return to the school along with some time for fellowship and sharing. Now, the only thing left is the excuse Satan is trying to convince you is good enough for you to skip out on this ministry. SO people of God, start NOW and pray, “Get behind me, Satan!
